About the Role

The role of the Child Exploitation, Missing and Prevention Coordinator is to coordinate and deliver effective practice and robust responses to children and young people who are missing and/or at risk of Exploitation, delivering training/learning events and raising awareness.
The role requires working in partnership, with key stakeholders, to deliver a coordinated and robust approach to the reduction and management of contextual safeguarding in the borough.
Attendance and input within Exploitation Panel, Missing Meeting, Pre-Mace, MACE and other key stakeholders’ meetings and panels, as the lead in Haringey social care for missing and exploitation.  Using the intelligence and information to assist social care teams to manage and reduce risk for the children & young people.  Facilitating peer mapping with key stakeholders to understand the areas, gang culture and risks in the borough working collaboratively when required to drive practice policy to safeguard children & young people.

About You

A qualified Social Worker with extensive experience in developing and delivering action plans, strategies, and improvement projects tailored to meet the Local Authority’s Exploitation and Missing needs. Proven ability to lead initiatives addressing Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE), Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), and Modern Slavery through workshops, training, and strategic planning. Committed to continuous professional development for both self and others, with a strong foundation in project management, staff supervision, and multi-agency collaboration. Skilled in managing complex workloads and competing priorities while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Demonstrated expertise in working directly with young people from diverse backgrounds, offering both one-to-one and group support for those facing sensitive and complex challenges. Adept at preparing and presenting data-informed reports, documents, and strategic plans. Known for clear and adaptable communication skills, effectively engaging children, young people, and key stakeholders across various agencies. Experienced in influencing decision-makers and fostering strong partnerships to drive positive outcomes in safeguarding and exploitation prevention.
